The road sign is back up. It seems that the Squawpoint Association only took down the sign to take the heat off from them, only to put it back up when they thought no one was looking.

A Hate Crime That Could Have Ended Worse
Compiled from the September 14th and 18th edition of the Bangor Daily News.
We sometimes forget that Maine is no different from the rest of the country when it comes to hate crimes.
Robert Dow (white) of Franklin, Maine shouted "white power" as he kicked seven-months pregnant Sarah Norris (black) of Trenton, Maine, in the stomach.
Ms. Norris was able to drive herself to the hospital were she experienced a brief series of contractions but did not go into labor. Mr. Dow later that day turned himself into police.
The town of Hancock, Maine, held a anti-hate rally and baby shower for Ms. Norris and her unborn baby. Around 200 people, mostly white people, attended the event, sponcered by the Bangor chapter of the NAACP.
Mr. Dow has been formally charged with assualt, disorderly conduct, and with violating the Maine Civil Rights Act and has been served.
